Dr. Michael J. Lee

Dr. Lee has lectured on rhinoplasty as well the latest techniques in facial rejuvenation, non-invasive procedures, breast implants, and abdominoplasty. Dr. Lee has published studies in cosmetic surgery in both the Journal of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and the Aesthetic Plastic Surgery Journal. His published work has also been referenced by the Wall Street Journal.

Major surgeries are performed at Northwestern Memorial Hospital outpatient center which is dedicated to quick recoveries and emphasizes pain prevention. The anesthesiologists are all on staff at Northwestern Memorial Hospital.

For the right candidate, Dr. Lee offers a short scar breast reduction. Incisions are placed around the areola and a small vertical incision with no horizontal incision. This type of reduction creates a rounder shape to the breasts than a traditional reduction.

Short Scar Facelift/Necklift

For women in their 40s and 50s, they may be a candidate for a short scar face lift which has a shorter incision than a traditional face lift. These procedures can be performed in the office with only local anesthesia or minor oral sedation.

Liposculpture

Small areas of liposuction can be performed with minimal sedation in the office. Quicker recovery with no general anesthesia, a shorter recovery time, and less cost are some of the advantages of this approach.

Minor Nose surgery

Small bumps on the nose or minor nasal tip surgery can be performed in the office under local anesthesia or minimal oral sedation. The advantages are a quicker recovery and less cost. Silicone breast augmentation Silicone implants have been approved since December 2007. In the appropriate patient, silicone implants will cause less rippling and fullness than saline implants.

Fraxel

Fraxel is a laser which treats fine wrinkles around the eyes, pigmented brown spots, acne and scars.

Dr. Lee performed blepharoplasty on both of my seventy-two year old eyes in a simple office procedure. After our initial meeting, Dr. Lee and his assistants provided written, step by step, information about cost, procedures and expectations. I called the office a few times for additional information. Dr. Lee is indeed a genius. I came to him terrified and needy, having just been diagnosed - again - with breast cancer. I had elected to have two mastectomies and reconstruction. I recently had a neck lift (in addition to a melanoma removed) by Dr. Lee 2 weeks ago… and am very pleased with the results. My appearance has improved, but not extremely noticeable… I look younger!
