Dr. Thomas Hubbard has a long-standing reputation in the Tidewater community and surrounding areas as a respected and ethical plastic surgeon. Dr. Hubbard focuses on the individual needs of each patient and develops surgical solutions tailored to that person’s specific anatomy.
Dr. Hubbard’s Education and Training
After completing his undergraduate education with distinction at University of Notre Dame, Dr. Hubbard received his medical degree from Washington University School of Medicine – one of the top 3 medical schools in the U.S. He graduated Alpha Omega Alpha from Washington University, an award that honors the top 10% of medical students. Dr. Hubbard then completed a residency in all aspects of plastic surgery for the face, breasts and body. His interest in facial anatomy led him to take on a second residency in otolaryngology (head and neck; ear, nose and throat).
Dr. Hubbard is board-certified in plastic surgery and otolaryngology. He is a member of The American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, American Society of Plastic Surgeons, The Rhinoplasty Society and American College of Surgeons.

Humanitarian Work
In 1994, Dr. Hubbard founded the nonprofit organization Medical Supply Rescue and Recycle (MSSR) as a way to provide surgical supplies and instruments to hospitals around the world. MSSR sends surgical instruments to South America and Africa. Instead of asking for donations, Dr. Hubbard contributes a part of his surgeon’s fees to the project. Since 2003, Dr. Hubbard has donated more than $115,000 in new stainless steel instruments.
