About Dr. Galante
After completing his plastic surgery residency at Loyola, Dr. Galante relocated to Nashville, Tennessee to undergo additional fellowship training in reconstructive breast surgery and aesthetic surgery at the Institute for Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery. Dr. Galante then returned home to Northwest Indiana to open his private practice. He appreciates living close to a city as vibrant as Chicago while enjoying the more peaceful, relaxed setting of Northern Indiana. Moreover, Dr. Galante said, “Much of my family is here, and my wife’s family too. We really never thought seriously about living anywhere else.”
Dr. Galante describes the key to his success with his patients in this way: “It’s really all about education. In order for a patient to feel pleased and satisfied with their results, their expectations have to be realistic. And to have an accurate view of what’s possible, patients need to learn what plastic surgery can and can’t do for them.” Dr. Galante explained, “That’s how we view our responsibility here in my practice. Along with privacy, support and a warm relationship, when patients come here, they can expect to learn what they need to know to make informed decisions.”
