Dr. Michael Tantillo
Dr. Michael Tantillo is a board-certified plastic surgeon who offers a full selection of surgical and nonsurgical approaches from his Boston plastic surgery office. He is Harvard-trained and board-certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS), so he has the experience with advanced techniques to help you meet your goals.
For Dr. Tantillo, it’s not enough to maintain high standards for exceptional surgical results. He takes the time to meet with you in person and understand your needs. Patients trust his honest evaluations, and appreciate his friendly manner and obvious commitment to take the time and effort to get to know them personally.
Dr. Tantillo’s Extensive Training and Experience
Dr. Tantillo earned his medical doctorate from the University of Alabama School of Medicine before receiving training in both general and plastic surgery techniques through residencies at Tufts University and Harvard University. In addition to earning board certification from the ABPS, Dr. Tantillo honed his skills and refined his surgical technique and earned admission into the selective American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery.
Dr. Tantillo is committed to seeing you reach your Boston plastic surgery goals through procedures that are not only aesthetically satisfying, but also medically appropriate. Dr. Tantillo is a member of a number of professional organizations including the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, and the New England Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons. He has also contributed his skills to instruct new surgeons as an instructor in surgery at Harvard Medical School.
Breast Augmentation from a Boston Plastic Surgeon
He offers both saline and silicone gel breast implants, in a variety of sizes. For patients who are considering breast augmentation in Boston after they have had children or achieved significant weight loss, he will implement customized techniques to address your unique concerns in ways a generalized approach to surgery cannot.
In addition to breast enlargement, Dr. Tantillo offers a number of options to enhance your breasts by:
- Re-positioning breasts that sag or point downward
- Giving a more proportional and even form to breasts that are not the same size
- Restoring volume and lifting breasts in one procedure
- Reducing the size of breasts that are uncomfortably large
- Sculpting a firmer and flatter look to reduce “male breasts”
Advanced Options for Body Contouring
Boston liposuction is an extremely popular option for women and men who are having trouble with stubborn excess pockets of fat in areas such as the thighs, hips, back, and arms. Dr. Tantillo also performs many abdominoplasty (tummy tuck) procedures to tighten the abdominal wall and remove excess skin and fat. In addition to these general body shaping options, he provides post-bariatric plastic surgery options and offers combination surgeries - often known as “mommy makeovers” - designed for women who want to restore their shape after childbearing.
Dr. Tantillo: A Skilled Facial Rejuvenation Surgeon
Dr. Tantillo offers a variety of facial enhancement options to help you present a confident, vibrant look:
- Rhinoplasty (nose surgery) to create better balance and facial harmony
- Facelift to correct sagging, wrinkled skin and tissue layers on the mid to lower face
- Eyelid surgery to sculpt and tighten excess upper or lower lid tissue
- Neck lift to tighten loose skin below the chin and smooth out lines and wrinkles
Some Boston plastic surgery patients prefer to enhance their appearance through cost-effective nonsurgical procedures. Dr. Tantillo can correct wrinkles and hollowed-looking skin through noninvasive treatments like BOTOX® Cosmetic and a selection of effective dermal fillers.
