Plastic surgeons that are certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery have been shown to have the the highest patient satisfaction rates and the lowest rates of complications. Just because a doctor is “board certified” doesn’t mean that they are certified in plastic surgery. Double check that your doctor is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, the only board recognized by The American Board of Medical Specialties. In Canada, find a doctor who is certified by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
