Dr. Stoker earned a variety of awards and honors during his educational career. He was awarded the Howard Hughes Medical Institute Grant for Undergraduate Research while at Stanford University. During medical school at the University of California San Francisco (USF), he won a first place prize from the Plastic Surgery Educational Foundation for his research studies. At New York University (NYU), where he did his surgical residency, Dr. Stoker received the British Journal of Surgery Award for the highest score in the department on the National In-Service Training Exam.

Since entering private practice at Marina Plastic Surgery Associates, Dr. Stoker has distinguished himself as an exceptional plastic surgeon. His colleagues selected him to co-teach the course on liposuction and body contouring at the 2006 and 2007 annual meetings of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery.

Dr. Stoker is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and board certified Diplomate of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.

About Dr. Stoker
Dr. Stoker completed his undergraduate studies at Stanford University, majoring in psychology and biology. He graduated from medical school at USF as a member of the exclusive Alpha Omega Alpha honors society. He completed his residency at the prestigious Institute of Reconstructive Plastic Surgery at the NYU School of Medicine.

Recognized as an expert in liposuction, Dr. Stoker has contributed to advancing the field with industry-leading research on power-assisted liposuction. He also authored the chapter, “Liposuction and Body Contouring” in a well-known plastic surgery textbook.

Dr. Stoker has led studies of other plastic surgery procedures and published the results to benefit others in the field. His research has included combined breast augmentation and reduction procedures, correction of inverted nipples, endoscopic facial surgery, nose surgery, and many others.

The media has also recognized Dr. Stoker's expertise in plastic surgery. He has appeared on television several times including on the Dr. Phil show where he served as a plastic surgery expert.

Dr. Stoker's Office and Staff
Most of Dr. Stoker's Los Angeles and Beverly Hills liposuction patients have their procedures done at the state-of-the-art Marina Outpatient Surgery Center in the UCLA Medical Building in Marina del Rey. The facility is fully accredited by the American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgery Facilities. For patients' further comfort and peace of mind, Dr. Stoker works with anesthesiologists certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology and trained in cardiac life support.

Patients can see Dr. Stoker in consultation at either of his two convenient office locations. He and the physician assistants, nurses, aestheticians, patient coordinators and others on staff at Marina Plastic Surgery help their clients select the procedures that are right for their own individual needs.
